Last week, we got news that the Aprilia RS 660 would cost €11,050 in the European market, which gave us some idea on what to expecting for pricing in North America…or so we thought.

In our analysis, we figured on a price tag in the low $12,000 range, but now Aprilia has proven us very wrong.

Releasing pricing for the 2021 Aprilia RS 660 this morning, the Italian brand has done a bit of a shocker, announcing a $11,299 MSRP for the Aprilia RS 660.

The Aprilia RS 660 is now officially available in Europe, after much teasing, hype, and waiting.

And because of that long wait, and bevy of information reveals, there isn’t too much that we don’t already know about this midsized twin-cylinder sport bike. But, we have long been waiting to hear what the machine would cost.

Today, that answer is finally here, and in Europe the 2021 Aprilia RS 660 will cost €11,050, while in the United Kingdom, pricing in pounds of sterling will be set at £10,149.

If you’re in the market for a small-displacement grocery-getter, then we have good news for you, as American Honda has just confirmed that the Honda Trail 125 will be coming to the USA as a 2021 model year machine.

The pint-sized dual-sport(ish) machine has been on the radar for quite some time, ever since a concept of the bike debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019.

Looking production-ready, it seemed like only a matter of time before the CT125 (as it’s called in other parts of the world) showed up on dealer floors. Given the history of the Trail 125 in the United States, the bike was certain to come here as well.

Confirming the news that our Bothan spies brought to us three weeks ago, KTM North America is going to bring in the KTM 200 Duke as a 2020 model.

The little baby Duke might not seem like the first choice for motorcycle models coming to the United States, that is until you look at the price tag that will come on this 200cc thumper: $3,999 MSRP.

This makes the 2020 KTM 200 Duke the only full-sized motorcycle from a major OEM that is under $4,000 new, which could be a game changer for the Austrian brand as it tries to capture younger riders.

The Bothan Spies of Asphalt & Rubber have been hard at work during the recent months, and they bring us news from Austria: the KTM 200 Duke will be coming to the USA as a late 2020 model.

The KTM 200 Duke is not a new model in the Austrian brand’s lineup, as it is available in various markets world, and most notably in the Asian markets where tiered licensing and cost-of-ownership constraints make the 25hp motorcycle a great choice for street riders, but it is a new and curious model for the United States.

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 just debuted for the US market a matter of weeks ago, and already the Tuning Fork brand has a new edition of this middleweight ADV bike for our consumption.

The new model is called the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Edition, and as the name implies, it is a more off-road ready variant of the Ténéré 700 motorcycle.

Before you get too bent out of shape about having to wait even longer for another Ténéré 700 model, the Rally Edition is mostly a parts bin bike, with Yamaha kitting a number of its aftermarket parts to the machine, along with a killer blue and yellow “speedblock” paint job.

When the Vitpilen 701 and Svartpilen 701 bikes first debuted at the EICMA show in Milan, we were excited. Husqvarna had taken the KTM 690 Duke and made it into a cool-looking retro-modern creation.

A couple years later, when the production bikes hit the asphalt, we were surprised to see that the different bodywork on this single-cylinder street bike came with a hefty price increase.

Whereas the KTM 690 Duke retailed for $9,000, these new 701 models from Husqvarna commanded a 33% markup – $12,000 MSRP.

Good news if you are a small-displacement racing fan, as the Aprilia RS250 SP will not just be a European affair, as we get word today that the 250cc track bike will be coming to the USA as well. 

Interestingly enough, the Aprilia RS250 SP will not make its way across the pond via the Piaggio Group, but instead Rise Moto – the Ohvale distributer for the United States – will be importing the machine.

That shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for those who are in the loop on how the Aprilia RS250 SP came to be (and of course you are, as you religiously read Asphalt & Rubber every day).

At the 2019 EICMA show in Milan, one of the surprises we saw in Italy was the Aprilia RS 250 SP motorcycle. A race-only machine, this quarter-liter four-stroke motorcycle from Noale is designed to be one thing: a cheap racing platform for Italy’s future two-wheeled stars.

Built in partnership with the FMI (Italy’s motorcycling federation) and Ohvale, the Aprilia RS 250 SP promised to be an affordable turnkey race bike, which would compete in a spec-series in Italy next year.

While we knew a bit about the bike’s technical bits, the one key feature missing from the Aprilia RS 250 SP’s debut at EICMA was its price. But now, we know that too: €9,700 – ready to race.

If you are looking for a pint-sized adventure-bike, and the BMW G310GS doesn’t slick your hair back, then the KTM 390 Adventure is surely something you have been following.

If that is the case, then you have been following the development of this bike for quite some time, with it taking the Austrian brand just over 6 years to get this bike to market.

But, the KTM 390 Adventure is finally ready for delivery, and in May 2020 it will land at American dealerships, with a price tag of $6,199 MSRP.
