Episode 20 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and this gets us back on track after a bit of a summer hiatus.

As such, we talk about our two-wheeled adventures over the past few weeks. This means Shahin talks about his off-roading adventures in the Pacific Northwest, while Jensen talks about his racing with OMRRA, which includes a stint racing an Energica Ego electric superbike.

The guys also talk a bit about WorldSBK’s stop in Laguna Seca, as well as why the Suzuka 8-Hours is an amazing race (the 2019 edition certainly had no shortage of action).

Episode 111 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is another special edition from the Suzuka 8-Hours. This means that we see Steve English joined by Jensen Beeler on the mics, as they are our Suzuka specialists.

Of course, the show has to start with a discussion about who actually won this year’s edition of the Suzuka 8-Hours, as the race’s conclusion, and the few hours after the checkered flag, were anything but straight-forward.

Episode 110 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is a special one, as it previews the 2019 Suzuka 8-Hours endurance race. This means that we see Steve English joined by Jensen Beeler on the mics, as they are our Suzuka specialists.

Looking ahead to the final round on the 2019 FIM Endurance World Championship calendar, the guys preview the Suzuka 8-Hours for us.

Episode 18 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and this is another topic-packed show that runs the gamut of the motorcycling experience.

Before we get into the show’s details, it should be noted that this episode was recorded during the practice week of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

So, we talk a bit about Carlin Dunne during the show, and are of course unaware of what would happen later that weekend. We deeply miss our friend Carlin, and plan to talk about his amazing life in our next podcast.

Episode 17 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and this is another topic-packed show that runs the gamut of the motorcycling experience.

As such, this show is full of highs and lows, and we start out with a conversation about a motorcycle that is near and dear to both our hearts, as the Ducati Streetfighter V4 prototype has finally broken cover. Ready to race at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, we speculate about what the production version could look like.

From there we talk about racing at the Bol d’Oregon – a six-hour endurance race outside of Portland, Oregon that is put on by the Sang-Froid Riding Club. An event we highly recommend, there is nothing more fun than riding a slow motorcycle fast.

Episode 16 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and this is another two-hour show to sooth your two-wheeled aches.

We start the show off when Shahin’s trip out into the Washington BDR trails, on his Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro. The Shah also got a chance to throw a leg over a Walt Siegl Ducati adventure bike, which made him giddy with delight.

Meanwhile, Jensen was busy at the Barber Motorsports Park, riding the 2020 BMW S1000RR superbike. Giving his thoughts on that new machine, and the general state of the liter-bike category, you won’t want to miss his review. Additionally, the “Yensen” score for bikes is progressing nicely, which leads to a fun conversation.

Episode 14 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and while it took us a while to get this show out, it is packed with all sorts of fun motorcycle talk.

We start things off with some news, particularly a new legal ruling that makes chalking tires unconstitutional. We then talk about the upcoming Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and how Triumph just produced its most powerful motorcycle ever – the Triumph Rocket 3 TFC.

In Episode 5 of the MOTR Podcast, I sit down with Oscar Solis, the Road Race Manager of Pirelli Tires North America, during a track test at the Circuit of the Americas, as such you will hear the occasional MotoGP bike fire by us on the track.

Our topic of conversation is  simple one: tires. Though, the conversation itself is anything but simple. Tires are perhaps the most important element on a motorcycle, but also one of the least understood, which is why I wanted to have this discussion with Oscar.

Over the course of this year, we are going to bring you a number of motorcycle stories that focus on the experience of going motorcycle racing at the amateur level. We call the series “Gone Racing”, and if you have been following us on Instagram or listening to the Brap Talk podcast then you have likely already been privy to some of the preparation for these features.

The concept is pretty simple, yours truly will be competing here in Portland with the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association (OMRRA) – as a true blue novice – using a Kramer HKR EVO2 as a racing and testing platform.

The goal of the series is to give a glimpse into what it is like to go from a track day rider to novice racer, and to use that experience as a springboard to explore various topics, like getting a race license, what gear to use, setting up a bike for racing, preparing as a rider, and so forth.

For our A&R Pro readers, we will also have some stories that take a deep dive on various technical topics, like the number of fuels available to racers (aka the cost-benefit analysis of MR12), how to read your tires (aka the dark art of the black round things), and the real difference between braking components (aka why does the Brembo GP4-RR cost as much a decent track bike?).

Episode 13 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and it comes to you right after the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Shahin and I greatly enjoyed seeing and talking to so many fans of the podcast at the MotoGP race, Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, and the general Austin city limits. It really means a lot to us that you all enjoy the show so much.

As such, this show discusses the weekend for us, in particular what happened on and off the track. We gush about the MotoGP race, debate the bikes seen at the show, and generally plan where our next calories are going to come from.
