MotoAmerica came to the Pacific Northwest this year, bringing professional motorcycle racing to the Ridge Motorsports Park. The backyard of Asphalt & Rubber, I made the short drive to the forested race track in order to see how the pros do it.

Both of the PNW’s local amateur racing clubs had just competed two weeks before at The Ridge, holding a joint-round on the recently revised course, which meant an obvious reference point on what to expect from the track’s new layout (a chicane having just been added to the track’s front straight this year).

Unsurprisingly, the chicane was the talk for much of the paddock, and rightfully so. As we found out weeks before the MotoAmerica round, the position of the chicane on the front straight is an issue for motorcycle racers.

Episode 144 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one catches us back up on some news from the MotoGP paddock, as Dorna has been hard at work to get the 2020 season underway once again.

As such, this show sees David Emmett, Jensen Beeler, and Neil Morrison on the microphones, talking about how the coronavirus outbreak has affected different parts of the world, and then how MotoGP will return to action.

Episode 35 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, and is packed full of motorcycle discussion for your open-road loving hearts.

In it, we talk a bit more about the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S, as Shahin got to spend a weekend with this impressive machine.

The bulk of the show, however, is about how the coronavirus outbreak is shaping the motorcycle industry – specifically on what it can mean for motorcycle dealerships.

Episode 141 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one takes down a trip on memory lane in the WorldSBK paddock, as Steve EnglishGordon Ritchie, and Jensen Beeler talk about the 2002 World Superbike Championship.

One of the most memorable WorldSBK seasons, 2002 saw a battle for the championship between Colin Edwards and Troy Bayliss, which went down to the very last race of the season: the Showdown at Imola.

An iconic battle, the final race at Imola is considered by many to be the best motorcycle race of modern times, and it is certainly worth a discussion while we are all stuck at home because of the coronavirus.

Episode 139 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is a departure from our usual broadcast, as we take you behind the microphones to meet the podcasting team that brings you your weekly motorcycle racing fix.

As such, this show includes David Emmett, Steve EnglishNeil Morrison, and Jensen Beeler on the microphones talking about how they got involved in racing and with each other on this podcasting endeavor.

We admit, it has been a bit rude of us to go so long without introducing ourselves, but hopefully this episode gives our listeners a little insight into who we are, why we are so crazy for motorcycle racing, and how the media landscape in the paddock has changed over time. We hope you enjoy this special episode.

Episode 33 of the Brap Talk podcast is now out for your two-wheeled audio pleasure, well…sort of for your two-wheeled audio pleasure.

This is because this show is our long talked about “Not About Motorcycles” show, which as the title implies, is a little light on the moto-content.

Consider this a pilot for a possible spin-off podcast, where Shahin and Jensen talk about life, the universe, and everything else…with the occasional motorcycle in there.
