Paddock Pass Podcast #111 – Suzuka 8-Hours

Episode 111 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is another special edition from the Suzuka 8-Hours. This means that we see Steve English joined by Jensen Beeler on the mics, as they are our Suzuka specialists.

Of course, the show has to start with a discussion about who actually won this year’s edition of the Suzuka 8-Hours, as the race’s conclusion, and the few hours after the checkered flag, were anything but straight-forward.

This leads us into a complex discussion about the FIM Endurance World Championship rules, and the ball that was dropped by the Suzuka 8-Hours race direction.

We don’t let the chaos of the closing minutes lose sight of the amazing 7+ hours of racing that were watched, and we talk about the races run by the three main factory efforts: Kawasaki Racing Team, Red Bull Honda, and the Yamaha Factory Racing team.

We also give some minutes to the finale for the FIM Endurance World Championship, which had some drama and intrigue of its own.

This year provided one of the best Suzuka 8-Hours in recent memory, and it is worth a watch if you have the means. This also makes this show and must-listen episode from the podcast.
