Helping celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the GSX-R750, Suzuki GB has come up with the 2010 Suzuki GSX-R750 Limited Edition, which sports a retro paint scheme circa 1996 and a Yoshimura GP Evo 111 exhaust. The GSX-R750 appears to be the first GSX-R to get the anniversary treatment, as Suzuki GB is teasing image spots for a GSX-R600 & GSX-R1000 Limited Editions as well.
Looks like our tip about Suzuki is coming to fruition sooner than we expected (although, we’re still holding our breath on the GSX1000R part of that tip). Suzuki has launched a new European Bandit at the Bol D’or 24 hour endurance race, in Magny-Cours, France, and it looks like they have given the Bandit a bit of a make-over. Rumors are circulating that Suzuki is about unveil its 2010 motorcycle line-up, which will reportedly feature an all new 1,250cc Bandit, new GSX-F, and an updated GSX1000R. With the Gixxer 1000 being completely revamped just last year, we’re not sure if that means just new colors for 2010, or if Suzuki will be making modest performance enhancements, like we saw with the 2010 Honda CBR1000RR and 2010 Yamaha YZF-R6.

The news we already knew was released today: Loris Capirossi will be continuing on with Rizla Suzuki for the 2010 MotoGP season. With Bautista already signed-up for the powder blue squad, this means Christopher Vermeulen is officially out of the game, and looking for a job.
After much ado, Suzuki has confirmed that they have signed Alvaro Bautista for next year’s MotoGP season. Bautista had been pursued rather intently this last month by his old 250GP boss, Jorge “Aspar” Martinez (pictured above), for his satellite Ducati team, which will be debuting next season. However, Bautista has been resistant to the idea of riding the Desmosedici, and was looking for a factory ride, which only Suzuki can provide.
For this Tuesday morning we have a vague rumor on what the Suzuki GSX-R600 & GSX-R750 will look like for 2010. Both bikes should see a modest power increase, with the GSX-R600 going from 125hp to 128hp, and the GSX-R750 going from 150hp to 154hp. The bikes will also see cosmetic changes and new features, as Suzuki once again sticks to its 2-year revision cycle.
It’s doom and gloom today. The motorcycle industry continues to be slogged on the nose like a near-sighted proctologist, as exports from metric manufacturers declined by 65% this June from 2008’s figures. This drop comes after May only showed a 58% loss over last year’s numbers, showing an escalation of the problems for the motorcycle industry, instead of the beginnings of an abatement. For those who aren’t keeping score, 2009 so far has sold 25% less units than 2008, with the crunch hitting the hardest as sales normally would pick up during the summer.
French magazine, MotoRevue, has speculated and rendered up what they believe to be the upcoming GSR750. Expecting the bike to hit the streets in early-2010, the render borrows heavily on the lines of the B-King, and is expected to be Suzuki’s answer to the growing 750cc standard bike market. As such the GSR will have stiff competition from the Kawasaki Z750, Aprilia Shiver/Mana, Triumph Street Triple, etc.
Powering the bike will be a detuned GSX-R750 motor, which you can expect to make power south of 120hp. No word on what markets the bike will enter into, but don’t hold you breath to see it on American soil. Considering the GSR series has traditionally been a European/Asian market bike, we expect the 750cc version to be available only abroad as well.

Suzuki Motor Corporation is reporting its 3rd quarter in a row of sales dropping in its European and North American markets. In North America, the company sold 88,000 units, weighing in at a 34% reduction from last year’s numbers. Suzuki fared better in Europe where it sold 114,000 units, or a a 24% decrease from last year. Yes the bleeding continues, but at least .

Big CC Racing, a British tuning company has unleashed the fury on a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 with a kit of their own design that boosts the bike’s power to anywhere between 250hp to 450hp. The result? Wheelies in any gear. With no apparent adjustments to the bike’s geometry, we don’t know why they even bothered keeping the front-wheel on the bike at this point, because all the rider is going to be seeing is the sky with that wheeling lofting in front of him.
