After many rumors and some obvious teasers, the folks in Bologna, Italy have finally unveiled the Ducati Streetfighter V2 model for 2022.
The recipe here is simply: take the Ducati Panigale V2 and give it the styling cues of the Streetfighter V4 (sans wings).

Getting a modest restyling and a bevy of key updates, the 2022 Yamaha MT-10 is certainly worth a look.
Murmurings on the internet of a new iteration of the Yamaha MT-10 have been gathering as of late. So much so, we could even see the debut of such a bike as early as tomorrow.

Two years ago, we saw the KTM 1290 Super Duke R getting a bevy of upgrades for the 2020 model year. Then last year, the KTM 1290 Super Duke RR broke cover, with no shortage of go-fast parts for 2021.

With that, we can confirm that “The Beast” will get another upgrade, coming as the 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO.
Talk of a v-twin middleweight Ducati Streetfighter V2 have been percolating ever since the Italian brand debuted its V4 motorcycle with a similar name.
With the Ducati Streetfighter V4 a hit. with the Ducati-loyal and sport bike enthusiasts alike, clearly the folks in Bologna can sense the moment approaching for an encore at a lower price point.
This is where the rumors of a Ducati Streetfighter V2 come into play, and the basics are fairly easy to guess: take the Ducati Panigale V2 sport bike, and strip away the fairings for the classic streetfighter look.
When the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR debuted, it was herald as a bold, raw, and fast street bike. A true streetfighter in the sense that it was a superbike sans fairings, and not for the weak of heart.
With 205hp (153 kW) on tap from its 998cc inline-four engine, the only thing more audacious than the Brutale 1000 RR (other than the über-extravagant Brutale 1000 Serie Oro) was its $32,000 price tag.
That put the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR out of reach for many riders, and now the Italian brand hopes to widen its base with a “more affordable” model. Notice though, we still did not use the word “cheap” to describe this new machine.

Suzuki’s lineup of “new” motorcycles continues to be iterations on established machines, and the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 does not deviate from that plan.
That being said, the updated streetfighter brings a number of refinements to the GSX-S1000 name, along with some distinct styling choices.
It is easy to peg the Aprilia Tuono 660 as simply the “naked version” of the fully faired Aprilia RS 660 sport bike, but the more and more I think about this Italian middleweight-twin, I feel that distinction is a misleading way to regarding the smaller Tuono.
The better way to think about the Aprilia Tuono 660 is to regard it as Aprilia’s road-focused 660 offering, whereas the RS 660 is geared more towards track enthusiasts.
As one can see, the Aprilia Tuono 660 doesn’t really have a lack of fairing, just more of a bikini approach, in contrast to the RS 660’s one-piece design.
I will level with you…the following is a thinly veiled excuse to ogle over the latest iteration of the MV Agusta Rush 1000.
Sure, the headline news might be that this ostentatious four-cylinder streetfighter is getting some updates for the 2021 model year, thanks largely to the Euro5 emissions requirements, but this post is mostly an offering of fap-fodder, for the next time you are alone in your garage.
We could probably save a lot of pixels, and a lot of headlines, if we just wrote one story saying that updates have come to MV Agusta’s 800cc three-cylinder lineup…but where’s the fun in that?
