Max Biaggi Will Race in the World Superbike Season Finale

Max Biaggi continues to find the allure of the race track calling him, and accordingly will race in the World Superbike season-closer in Losail, on a wild card Aprilia ride.

This isn’t the first time that The Emperor has climbed back aboard the Aprilia RSV4 racing platform, and we would be surprised if it actually did turn-out to be his last.

Biaggi confirmed the news via his personal Twitter account, and Aprilia Racing later confirmed the wild card appearance.

Biaggi continues to show that despite his age and retired status, he’s still capable of competing in the WSBK Championship. He’s already competed at two WSBK rounds earlier this year, missing the podium at Misano, and taking home a third place at Sepang.

He currently sits 19th in the World Superbike Championship standings because of his results. Love him or hate him, the 44-year-old is still a force to be reckoned with on two wheels.

Like his other wild card attempts, Biaggi will get a chance to test at Losail before he takes to the racing weekend, thus giving him more time to prepare and set up his RSV4 for the race – a moderately unfair advantage.
