A bike we have suspected from Ducati ever since the Multistrada V4 debuted, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak continues a long tradition from the Italian brand in making a sportier adventure-tourer.

That ethos gets taken to another level with this incarnation though, thanks primarily to Borgo Panigale positioning the base Multistrada V4 as a more all-round ADV bike, with its 19″ front wheel and double-sided swingarm.

Returning the Multistrada to its 17″ ways, the 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak features not only a smaller front wheel, but also a single-sided swingarm and other sport-focused choices.

What’s in a name? Well, if you are the new Ducati Multistrada V2, there is not much beyond some minor upgrades for the 2022 model year.

The first of the Italian brand’s new models that will debut in the company’s two-and-a-half-month-long teaser series, the 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 is mostly a name change to keep the “mid-sized” adventure bike conforming to the rest of Ducati’s mid-sized lineup.

The name “DesertX” should be a familiar moniker for Ducatisti, as the Desert X concept was the belle of the ball at the 2019 EIMCA show.

Back then though, the Desert X was a concept bike built under the Scrambler Ducati name, and it featured a 1,079cc air-cooled v-twin engine.

Oh, how things have changed! Now being teased for a December 9th debut, it would seem that the Italians have done more than reformat the name, and that makes us very happy.

Triumph continues to churn out teasers for upcoming models, first showing us the half-fairing Triumph Speed Triple RR, then the street-focused Triumph Tiger Sport 660, and now the Triumph Tiger 1200.

Appearing to be an all-new model, the British marque is making big boasts about a reduced weight figure on the chassis, and added horsepower from the 1,200cc three-cylinder engine.

From day one, Aprilia has been coy about the Tuareg 660. While we knew from the get-go that the Aprilia’s 660cc parallel-twin motor would foster a whole range of motorcycles, our introduction to the Tuareg 660 started with obfuscation.

Our first glimpse of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 was behind a glass box full of fake plants, at the 2019 EICMA show, and while we could glean some info from that display, much about the new middleweight ADV bike remained a mystery.

Now it seems, Aprilia is willing to speak more about its latest creation – though there is still much we don’t know.

After a long run-up, it is now really happening: Harley-Davidson is launching an all-road motorcycle with the Pan America 1250. No, not a soft adventure or crossover, but a real all-road, which will enter the category where the BMW R1250GS ruled for years.

As they say within the American brand full throttle marketing campaign: “this changes everything” – even if that’s just the case for themselves.

The Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 is perhaps the most-anticipated motorcycle for the 2021 model year, as the bike is set to define the future of the Bar & Shield brand.

If the bike is a success on the sale floor, the future bodes well for this iconic American institution. If the bike is another failure, like the V-Rod (and Livewire), then well…Harley-Davidson has a tough road ahead of it.

With the European press launch of the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 coming ahead of the bike’s debut in the USA (weird, right?), we couldn’t wait when came to evaluating this important machine.
