McGuinness Crashes at NW200, Suspected Broken Leg

Big news today out of the North West 200, as John McGuinness suffered a crash at the Primrose corner, during the Superbike practice session. He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, with a suspected broken right leg.

The injury has cast some doubt on McGuinness’s participation in this year’s Isle of Man TT, but it has also scuttled Guy Martin’s plans for the Superstock race at the North West 200.

As is procedure at the North West 200, McGuinness’s race bike has been impounded by the race organizers.

Unable to look at McGuinness’s crash data, the Honda Racing team has cancelled Martin’s Superstock race as a precaution, in case a technical issue was the cause for McGuinness’s crash.

We will post more news about McGuinness’s condition, as well as what his plans for the Isle of Man TT, as we get them.
