Paddock Pass Podcast #116 – WorldSBK at Portimão

Episode 116 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is another WorldSBK show, as the production championship is finally back to racing action after its long summer break.

As such, this means that we see Steve English joined by Gordon Ritchie on the mics, as they are our World Superbike reporting duo for the 2019 season.

Recording straight from trackside at Portimão, the guys give some conversation about the on-track action in Portugal, but there is plenty to discuss about what is occurring off the track, as the contract season is heating up.

The big news is of course Alvaro Bautista’s move to Honda for next season, what provisions HRC has been making for its WorldSBK return…including an all-new Honda CBR1000RR superbike.

There is plenty of other silly season news to cover, especially when it comes to who will be riding on Yamaha motorcycles for next year, with possibly six YZF-R1 bikes on the grid in 2020.

Of course, the guys extensively cover where the movements are headed as we gear up for next season, and as always, Steve and Gordo have a ton of insight into the superbike class, and share it with all of us listening, so if you are a WorldSBK fan – or Superbike curious – then you won’t want to miss their discussion.

Additionally, be sure to follow the Paddock Pass Podcast on Facebook, Twitter and subscribe to the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud – we even have an RSS feed for you.
