WorldSBK Photos from Assen – Saturday Edition

The Netherlands is known best for its rain, tulips, and windmills, but on Saturday at Assen it was the snow that had everyone talking.

Leading ultimately to the cancelation of the day’s races, the snow was certainly a setback for the paddock, though also quite the spectacle.

This means that Race 1 for the World Superbike riders will take place on Sunday, with the Superpole Race now canceled.

This reduces the number of points on the table in Holland, which could play into the hands of Alvaro Bautista, who was sixth-fastest at Friday’s conclusion.

With better weather expected on the Sunday, and more than a handful of riders capable of the pace, race day at Assen should be quite the treat. Stay tuned!
