Here Is Our First Look at the New Suzuki Katana

This is our fourth installment of teaser videos for the new Suzuki Katana, and this time we actually get something to chew on, as the new sport bike makes an appearance this time around.

It is a brief look at the Suzuki Katana, but the lines are clear. This will be modern take on the popular Katana, similar to the concept we saw last year.

We expect that the Katana will be based off the GSX-R1000 platform, though there has been speculation that Suzuki’s turbocharged Recursion engine could power the beast.

The video shows us a multi-cylinder engine however, likely an inline-four, which seems to preclude the twin-cylinder Recursion motor, and favor the GSX-R1000.

Expect a suite of rider aids to come with the superbike engine, and an aggressive price tag as well. Beyond that, we don’t know too much about the Suzuki Katana.

We won’t have to wait long for all the details though, the Suzuki Katana will drop at the INTERMOT show next week.
