Moto Morini Teases New Adventure Bike for EICMA

A brand we often don’t hear too much about, Moto Morini is showing some interesting prospects that are set to debut at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan.

The biggest comes in the form of this teaser concept sketch (see above), which outlines the lines of an adventure-touring model from the Italian brand.

Now under Chinese ownership, Moto Morini is actually looking like it will have robust set of bikes debuting for the 2020 model year, with this ADV machine joined by both a scrambler and naked model.

Presumably, all three bikes will be powered by a new middleweight category engine (we would expect it to be a v-twin), though it is possible that this ADV machine could get the 1,200cc lump that is already in the Moto Morini lineup.

From the looks of the sketch, the Moto Morini ADV bike looks very rally inspired, which could bode well for its off-road prowess, and could help distinguish it in the market.

With the middleweight adventure category being red hot right now with intriguing models, the other Bologna brand will have its work cut out for them, but with the right mix of design, specifications, and pricing, we could see Moto Morini being a strong contender.

What we really want to see though is the Italian brand coming to the North American market, and hopefully with it Zhongneng money, that will soon be the case.

Stay tuned for the EICMA show in a few weeks’ time. We will have all the news about what Moto Morini is up to, and more photos and details on the bikes they are releasing.
