UPDATE: The Ducati Superleggera V4 has officially debuted.

While there are still roughly 18hrs left (at the time of this writing) until the Ducati Superleggera V4 officially debuts, photos of this $100,000 superbike are already leaking onto social media.

The treasure trove of images are likely coming from would-be buyers who have already seen the bike in person and have had access to its special website, where videos and information have been trickling out.

The fact that this is occurring should surprise no one, but of course these early images already have our mouths watering for the real thing.

Despite Ducati being mum about the details of the Superleggera V4, we know a surprising amount about this V4 überbike.

Namely, we know that the Ducati Superleggera V4 will use a version of the 998cc / 234hp Desmosedici Stradale R engine that is found on the Panigale V4 R.

We also know that this machine will tip the scales at 152 kg / 335 lbs. Doing the math, that should be good for about 380 lbs at the curb, and produce the best power-to-weight ratio ever seen on a production superbike.

These photos also confirm that the Ducati Superleggera V4 will get even more winglets, based on what was available with the Ducati Desmosedici GP16 – which was the height of aero tech around when this project started in 2017.

Brembo Stylema calipers, mechanical Öhlins suspension pieces, and carbon fiber wheels complete the package that features a carbon fiber frame, carbon fiber swingarm, and carbon fiber bodyworky.

We would expect that 500 units of the Superleggera will be sold by Ducati, and our Bothan spies tell us that every model has already been spoken for.

For icing on the cake, we hear that the lucky few how can afford the six-digit price tag will be treated to a special on-track experience, which may or may not include spinning some laps on Ducati’s racing machines.

They say money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you this…and this makes us pretty damn happy. Check back Thursday morning to see the Ducati Superleggera V4 officially debut, with all the dirty lustful details.
