Honda Begins Teasing the Next Africa Twin

We already had an inclining that Honda was set to bring a new Africa Twin model to market, and now that rumor seems very, very real as Big Red has begun teasing another “True Adventure” motorcycle.

The rumor before today was that the Honda Africa Twin would see an update for the 2020 model year, primarily to prime the ADV bike for the upcoming Euro5 emission standards.

The headline change for this new model is an increase in displacement, to a rumored 1,080cc. As you would expect then, the rumors also suggest a modest power increase (+5hp) and a larger fuel tank, as a result of the increased cylinder displacement.

Other likely changes include a new TFT dash, reworked fairings, keyless ignition, and a new dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Despite the fact that we have known this rumor since February, it has been back in the sphere recently, passed off as new news. Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that is the case though, especially just before Honda begins its teaser campaign. Weird how that works, huh?
