Gone Riding: Ducati Streetfighter V2

Hola from the Spanish city of Seville, as this edition of “Gone Riding” sees us getting ready to ride the new Ducati Streetfighter V2.

The v-twin addition to Ducati’s Streetfighter lineup, the formula for the new V2 model sees Ducati taking the Panigale V2 superbike, and giving it a look and feel that’s very similar to the Streetfighter V4.

The easiest way to tell the different between the V4 and V2 models is that the Ducati Streetfighter V2 comes without wings (though you can buy them as an option), and has the same exhaust can as the Panigale V2 – otherwise, they look very similar.

Will they ride similar though? That is what we are in Spain to find out, and Ducati has us riding both on the track (at Circuito Monteblanco) and on the street, in the mountains outside of Seville.

My goal is to see how the Streetfighter compares to its four-cylinder counterpart, whether this model is the spiritual successor to the Streetfighter 1098, which shares a very similar spec-sheet (and a place in my personal garage).
