Paddock Pass Podcast Episode 230 – Moto2 & Moto3 at Austria

Episode 230 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is our Moto2 and Moto3 follow-up to Episode 229, which focused on the MotoGP action from the Austria GP at the Red Bull Ring.

On the mics, we have David Emmett, Neil Morrison, and Adam Wheeler, as they walk us through the on-track action in the intermediate classes, along with special insights from ex-racer Michael Laverty.

In the show, the guys talk about Raul Fernandez’ turnaround from a week earlier, and how he was fueled by the abuse he got on social media after his poor showing the previous race weekend.

We then discuss Ai Ogura’s first Moto2 podium, and ask whether he is destined for great things, and debate whether Moto3 is a good preparation for Moto2.

Speaking of which, the show takes a look at Moto3 as well, discussing Sergio Garcia’s excellent race, why the Red Bull Ring seems to produce a more realistic measure of talent in Moto3 rather than at other tracks, and we ask whether Pedro Acosta can start to pencil his name on the Moto3 championship trophy.

And as ever, we have Michael Laverty giving his views on the Moto2 and Moto3 races of the weekend.
