Episode 223 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this show takes us back to the WorldSBK paddock, as the production series ramps back up its 2021 racing.

On the mics, we have Steve English and David Emmett, as they trade notes on an insider and outsider’s perspective on the World Superbike paddock, and what has been transpiring thus far in the championship.

The guys discuss the rules, whether Jonathan Rea is still unbeatable, whether Pirelli should drop the qualifying tire, and just how competitive the field is.

They also take a peek at the Petronas situation, and try to work out who might get a chance at the seat. After that conversation, David leads an interview with Pata Yamaha team boss Paul Denning.

Denning talks about the success of Toprak Razgatlioglu, how the Yamaha YZF-R1 has changed to make it more competitive, and the state of the rules and regulations in WorldSBK.

As always, the conversation is insightful and lively, and adds another dimension to what goes on in the MotoGP Championship paddock.
