When we published our story about the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, we only had a few photos to share with our readers, which of course is not the Asphalt & Rubber way.
It’s a new month now, and we aim to make amends. Accordingly, here is an absurdly large gallery of super-high resolution photos of the street-focused adventure bike, for your viewing pleasure.
Based off the Ducati Multistrada V4, the Pikes Peak model trades in its 19″ wire-spoked front wheel for a 17″ forged aluminum one, and then adds a single-sided swingarm to the rear for the full Ducati effect.
Ducati has also added a few ergonomic changes, to the help the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in its sporty pursuits, namely higher footpegs, closer bars, and a shorter windscreen.
The rake and trail on the front wheel has also been made more aggressive, which is perhaps the most understated and yet also most important feature to focus the Pikes Peak model as a street-going machine compared to the regular Multistrada V4.
A first for the Pikes Peak models, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak finally comes with electronic suspension, featuring the Öhlins SMART 2.0 EC semi-active pieces.
With that comes a new “Race” mode for the throttle, traction control, and suspension settings.
Powered by the Granturismo V4 engine, the Pikes Peak model makes 167hp (125 kW) like the rest of the lineup. Curb weight has been reduced though, by 8 lbs, for a wet weight of 527 lbs.
For the $29,000 MSRP, you get the Bosch adaptive cruise control system as standard, as well as a road-legal Akrapovic slip-on exhaust.
Carbon fiber pieces abound as well, and then there is the MotoGP-inspired livery, which has always been a stand-out feature for the Pikes Peak models.
