I am not quite sure what makes the following a “concept” in the eyes of the Italian manufacturer, as the Ducati Hypermotard 950 is already a production model (it’s quite good too, by the way), and the example we see here differs only in paint and parts.
But still, the attraction that the Centro Stile Ducati has poured into this Hypermotard 950 is lurid, for sure.
The judges at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este would seem to agree with us as well, as this Hyper won first place in the ”Concept Bikes: New Design and Prototypes by Manufacturers and Independents” category at the prestigious event.
From our judges’ booth, we would call it “Best in Paint and Bolt-on Parts” – a comment that is based more in accuracy than snark – but the real value here is that Hypermotard 950 owners who like what they see shouldn’t have too hard of a time replicating it or riffing on it.
This is because many of the add-ons can be found in Ducati’s performance parts catalog. For a note though, it would be very cool and outside of the status quo for Ducati to offer graphics kits for models like the Hypermotard 950 – a move that would certainly leverage and showcase the talents at the Ducati design studio in an eye-catching way. Just saying…

For fun bits, we see that Ducati has added a dry clutch to the Hypermotard 950 (yes please!) and proper racing handguards, though we are not too sure about the paint on the sidewall of the tires.
Regardless, this Ducati Hypermotard 950 concept is just a fun bike worth sharing. The large-sized supermoto is already a unique way to get from Point A to Point B, and if you showed up on the aforementioned machine, that would be an even bigger statement.
