BMW Releases S1000RR European Pricing

BMW Motorrad released today that the base MSRP of the S1000RR will cost €15,800, expect the US pricing to be below that (we’re guessing $14,500-ish).

In typical BMW fashion the real fun features will cost more. The BMW Race ABS system will cost €950, while the Race ABS with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) will cost a combined €1,250. BMW is also offering an electric shifter for €370, and an alarm system for €220.

As we reported earlier, the bike will be available in four colors: Thunder grey, Lupin blue-Magma Red-Acid green, Mineral Silver, and Alpinewhite (BMW Motorrad Red, White, & Blue) will cost €600 more.

Expect to see the S1000RR in showrooms by the end of the year.

That €16340 becomes $22810 which is far more likely to be the price in the USA the the $14K you have speculated on.

Currency conversions are a tricky thing. A direct market exchange doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what a good will go for in two different countries.

So there’s that, and the fact BMW Motorrad announced the bike would be priced competitively against the Japanese manufacturers. I don’t think pricing the bike in 1198S range is what they meant by that statement.
