Jason Dupasquier Has Died After a Qualifying Crash at Mugello

We have the sad duty today to report that Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier has succumbed to the injuries he sustained during a crash during Saturday’s Moto3 qualifying.

The Swiss racer crashed at the very end of the Q2 qualifying session, and was struck by a following rider, who was unable to avoid Dupasquier in the middle of the track between Turns 9 and 10.

Attended to on the track by the MotoGP doctors, the 19-year-old was then airlifted to the Careggi Hospital in Florence. News of his Dupasquier’s death reached the MotoGP paddock just before the start of the Moto2 race at the Italian GP.
