A tough day for Valentino Rossi who struggled with a lack of front end feel on his M1 Yamaha.


Marc Marquez finished Day 1 as second fastest and only 0.003 secs behind fastest man Jorge Lorenzo.

Scott Redding had a good day finishing 8th on the time sheets.


Dani Pedrosa ended the first day in 7th place on his Repsol Honda.


A difficult day for Aleix Espargaro who was down in 15th place.


Maverick Vinales did marginally better than his teammate, finishing the opening day at Indianapolis in 13th place.

It was confirmed today that Pol Espargaro will be staying at Tech 3 Yamaha in 2016.


A “Rusty” Cal Crutchlow finished 5th on Day 1.


Jorge Lorenzo was fastest in both FP1 and FP2, but only just.
