The BMW S1000RR Gets Modest Updates for the 2022 Model Year

The BMW S1000RR is getting some very mild updates for the 2022 model year, but they do go beyond the attractive “bold new colors” that come with the new black livery that is available.

The biggest change is that BMW Motorrad is making the M Chassis kit for the BMW S1000RR standard on the 2022 model, which means an adjustable swingarm pivot and adjustable tail riser.

The Germans are also dropping the “Sport” kit from the many options that can be added to the 2022 BMW S1000RR, but it’s the “Dynamic” that riders will want to get, in order to get the features normally seen in this class.

Of course, what we really – and what BMW makes no mention of – is a throttle map that doesn’t include a gaping hole in the midrange for the US market. The superbike does looks good in black though.
