Ducati Desmosedici Recall

This article will be completely devoid of any comments about Italian reliability. Resisting that temptation like Adam resisted the apple from Eve, it would appear that there might be a teeny-tiny-ity-bity problem with the Ducati Desmosedici’s fuel tank drain and breather hose.

The fuel tank drain and breather hose clamps may be installed incorrectly. This nonconformity may cause the fuel lines to weaken and break. This can result in damage to the motorcycle and a potential hazard to the rider. Now, to me…that means bike go boom. This affects 289 of the produced Desmosedici’s…which is almost 20% of the motorcycles expected to be produced. Whoops.

No problem Claudio, I’ll be right in to get that looked at…as will the actual 289 Desmo owners that this might be affecting.

Sure, it’d be a 200mph rolling fireball of doom, but it’d be the best damn 200mph rolling fireball of doom I’ve ever seen.
