Tech3 Tests Out Its Moto2 Race Bike

Yesterday, Tech3 Racing made it onto the track with the Moto2 prototype motorcycle. Instead of the official riders, Yuki Takahashi and Raffaele de Rosa, taking laps around the Ledonon circuit in the south of France, French Tech3 test rider Florian Marino put the bike through its paces, albeit only for a short time. Video and more after the jump.

The Tech3 Moto2 machine found its testing time cut-short by an electric failure. While the team hoped to get more track time on the bike, valuable information and lessons were still learned, and hopefully the next official testing session at Valencia on December 9th will prove to be more fruitful.

Talking to Marino after the test, moto.caradisiac.com quoted the young Frenchman as saying, This bike is very agile and very light at 140kg, and it feels more like a 125 than a 600. Because the chassis is so rigid, you can run into corners really fast.”
