Aprilia: Victories Trump Tablecloths

Aprilia USA has tapped Hell for Leather and Tangent Vector to help them market the 2010 Aprilia RSV4 sport bike in a three-part video clip series. First up is a response to the BMW tablecloth trick video, which went viral on YouTube three months ago. Deciding to rest its laurels on its World Superbike doubles at Miller Motorsports Park, Monza, and Portimao, instead of cheap parlor tricks, Aprilia is clearly poking BMW in the eye with this video response. Check it out after the jump.

That’s the point. Aprilia is poking fun of BMW.

Anyways, the official t-shirt url is: aprilia.pcxhost.com.

Too bad you have to pay $8.99 shipping.

Proof is in the pudding kiddies. Aprilia makes a mean bike and Max Biaggi is doing fantastically in World Superbike. The fact, however, remains that world superbike is far from representative of what the bike you and I can buy is capable of. World Superstock on the other hand is the closes such representation and in world Superstock BMW is number 1 with a perfect record and Aprilia is dead last:

    Proof is in the pudding:

Exactly. Imagine if Biaggi didn’t get his gear driven cams and homologation special cheater bike…

Also, BMW has taken on the challenge of developing their own proprietary electronics package, whereas Aprilia is slapping on the tried and true Marelli system.

To anyone not on the WorldSBK grid, what the stock bikes can do is far more important.
