2010 Moto Morini Grand Motard Breaks Cover

You may remember that we brought you some of the first shots of the Moto Morini 1200cc motard taking some test laps back in August. Now with an up-close look at the bike, Italian news site Motociclismo has gotten a chance to ride the new Moto Morini motard ahead of its EICMA unveiling. Photos after the jump.

Code-named the “V12M01”, the new street-tard has yet to be officially designated, but “Grand Motard” seems to be a fun play on the bike’s Granpasso roots.

Regardless of the name, the new motard will feature the same Granpasso water-cooled 1187cc 87° v-twin motor, but power will be bumped from the Passo’s 118hp, to a slightly less anemic 127hp.

For those that like long-distance excursions, you’ll be happy to hear that the motard will come with the same 7 gallon fuel tank that made the Granpasso so popular with the adventure rider crowd.

Expect more on the “Grand Motard” when A&R lands in Milan for EICMA.

I own a 08 Corsaro 1200 Veloce, love the brand and plan on buying this Granmotard. I guess all the little problems are solved with the Granpasso. Therefore it will be a dream riding this bike.
