2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 14R Frame and Motor Revealed 2012 Kawasaki ZX 14R motor 635x357

The last time we showed you the latest teaser from Kawasaki for its upcoming 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R (that’s the 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 for our friends across the pond), we found it fairly amusing when several sites called the video’s authenticity into question. Systematically leaked to media sites through Kawasaki channels, and generally having the production quality of a professional job, nay-sayers apparently over-looked the smoking-gun fact that the videos in question were hosted on Kawasaki’s Ninja ZX-14R mini-site, which for added authority resides on a Kawasaki.com sub-domain. Yes, this video is real. Yes, an updated version of the Kawasaki ZX-14R/ZZR1400 is coming. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and he’s bringing you a new 1,440cc motorcycle. Only a few more days until this baby drops on October 10th. Stay tuned.

Yes i’m waiting patiently may have to trade my 06 xz14 but only if it comes in RED other wise I’ll wait.

  2. John says:

But can it dethrone the Busa…?

  3. Damo says:

Can’t wait to see the weight and wheelbase specs. Could this be the light agile hyperbike I have wished for?

  4. Jason says:

+1 Damo… If they follow the formula used previously on “open class” literbikes and bring down size and weight to handle like the smaller bikes, boy-oh-boy……..

  5. RJ says:

    There’s also rumours of a supposed supercharged version… :)

  6. BikePilot says:

I’m holding out for boost! Imo making it superbike sized would be a mistake, that market is filled up with the 10 and nin 1k. This thing should be modestly large long-distance sport bike/drag strip king. The moto equiv. of a GT car like a DB9.

  7. Jason says:

BikePilot: Well put. Never considered it that way…

  8. MikeD says:

    C’mon Monday… (O_O)’

  9. Damo says:

Shit! Bikepilot that is a good point, I honestly never looked at it like that.

I would still want an agile hyperbike though (^o^)b

  10. Graham says:

@ John, the original 14 already did, this new one is going to blow up the castle that the throne sits in.

  11. Simo says:

C mon … its monday ….. where is it ?????

  12. MikeD says:

    @Simo:

I doubt we’ll see it before the U.S Dealers do…(i think the convention, reunion, dealer show, w/e the hell is called) don’t start in Kisseeme, FL like around 8.00am Monday or maybe later.

I think thats what i heard on the zx14 section of some random website from a google search.

  13. Simo says:

Thanks MikeD….. here in AUS it will prob cost $20k + when 2011 costs $19 990.

  14. MikeD says:

Man, OZ is HARSH…I hope the minimun wage over there starts at $25.00 an Hour.

Jensen may already has the material under embargo but just in case go to Bikeland.org around 9-10am U.S eastern time (since the show is in FL{east coast U.S})…ZX-14 Section and it should be there.

But im almost positive everyone will have it up by then including A&R.

  15. John says:

Its systems are designed to allow riders to exploit the full potential of man and machine.

  16. love this cool motorcycle, make me confident on the road and was able to hit the vote over
