Ducati 1199 Panigale RS12 – For Superbike Teams Only

Our favorite Bologna-based sport bike manufacturer may not be racing the Ducati 1199 Panigale in World Superbike this year, but the Italian brand still has many other teams in other racing series who are keen to use the latest Bologna Bullet. On such outfit is the Ducati Coventry / JHP Racing squad that is campaigning the 1199 in the upcoming 2012 British Superbike Championship, which just today took delivery of their Ducati 1199 Panigale RS.

Essentially the bike we saw teased on the track before the Panigale’s official launch, the 1199 RS is an even more drool-worthy example of a track-ready Panigale than the Ducati 1199 S Supersport we showed you from the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. Aluminum tank, carbon fiber bodywork, full Termignoni exhaust, and Öhlins & Brembo pieces abound…yes this is the type of thing that makes grown men weak in the knees. More photos after the jump.

I’m gonna need a few minutes alone with this page…

  2. Guzzigray says:

Sorry but that bikes a hot mess!!

  3. Devon Sowell says:

    What’s the price?

  4. Rob says:

RS is a derivative of “R”, and as far as I’ve heard there hasn’t been any “R” model bikes made of the 1199. So is this a hopped up 1199 or truly an RS? In the past the RS has meant many fancy internal engine bits and such and usually a bit more power to go along with that. Any way we can get specs on this beauty?

  5. Westward says:

I want to see what Rossi can do with it around a circuit. Last time he was on a superbike, he did pretty well…

  6. 80K Lbs… nice price champs.

A beautiful, cutting-edge bike. But my pocket only take a Stock Fireblade

  7. Smitch says:

I’ve been extremely vocal about the Panigale’s styling not being up to Ducati’s historical superbike standard, but in this exact trim, with no headlights or paint (and of course dripping with the most expensive kit imaginable) I LIKE IT!

  8. RSVDan says:

The RS is only being sold to race teams, and when you consider the spec, $80K is far from outrageous.

  9. SVRyan says:

    That’s 80k POUNDS…..~$126,000 US

  10. Actually it’s 100,000 euros, which makes its price in dollars and pounds sterling a bit more variable.

  11. Williw says:

Plus it comes with the stand

  12. Jake says:

All those pictures and I still don’t know what it looks like. A front view would be nice. The front suspension certainly is drool-worthy. I’m still curious as to the arrangement of the swing arm linkage, it must be at least somewhat bizarre.
