2011 Kawasaki ZX 10R Teaser & Concept 2011 Kawasaki ZX 10R concept 560x395

Kawasaki has released a glimpse to its all new 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R sport bike with this concept sketch. While it’s hard to say how closely the production bike will be to this still artistic sketch, we do know the new 2011 ZX-10R will have a new motor, new frame, and new suspension.

After holding-off on bringing us new sport bikes for 2010, Kawasaki seems ready to gear up for production again (another sign the economy is getting better), and has seemingly re-done the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R from the ground up. Promo video after the jump.

For what it’s worth we love the direction that Kawasaki is taking with the 2011 ZX-10R, and the company seems set to take back its edgy attitude. After seeing visually bulk editions of the ZX-10R in the last two model renditions, the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R looks slim, angular, and down right evil. We really hope the accentuated air-intakes makes it into the production model.

Hmm… I’ll be watching how this bike pans out. If it’s got the numbers to match its agressive looks, I just might buy my first Kawasaki.

  2. Dave says:

I’m curious to see what they do as well.. I was interested in the S1000 but I want to see how the Japanese makes respond.

  3. Peter says:

I find it interesting that the sketch includes a Leo Vince logo on the exhaust. Well, it’s a blue and yellow blob, but you can tell what logo it is if you look at it.

  4. Peter says:

    And Brembos!

Let’s hope the Brembos make it to production :)

Spectacular over-hyped failures (e.g. MotoGP 2008) have a tendency to to turn minor failures into major catastrophes. Why don’t they permanently move their bike to the front quietly, and then hype the crap out of it when it actually achieves something?

I guess Kawasaki would have to be a legitimate bike manufacturer and not a marketing company to achieve something before they hype their products. Maybe they should move in that direction.

Good luck to them. I like Kawasaki, but if they’ve learned nothing from MotoGP 2008, they deserve to repeat it.

  7. Jaybond says:

Kawasaki should be more determined than ever to win WSB without the distraction of MotoGP. I’m sure this new bike will turn out well.
