Paddock Pass Podcast Episode 241 – Austin MotoGP Preview

Episode 241 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this show is a preview of the MotoGP action that is coming this weekend at the Americas GP at the Circuit of the Americas.

On the mics, we have Adam Wheeler and David Emmett, as they gear us up for MotoGP’s first race back on US soil in two years.

Naturally then, the guys start things off with a discussion on what it is like for MotoGP to be heading overseas again after two years of Qatar being the only race held outside of Europe.

From there, Adam and David discuss the track, and what we expect of it. They talk about how the track’s 20 corners and many bumps make it one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar, and we ask which bike it might suit and what effect this race weekend could have on the championship.

We also address the concerns around safety after last weekend’s death of Dean Berta Viñales in the WorldSSP300 race at Jerez.

We discuss how this could be fixed, and Adam gives an insight into how the junior classes in motocross bring young riders into the sport with less risk.

Finally, we finish up with our predictions for the race, and whether Marc Marquez will manage to win another race in the US.

As always, the conversation is insightful and lively, and adds another dimension to what goes on in the MotoGP Championship paddock.
