It would seem that even the popular Kawasaki Ninja 300 isn’t immune from the plethora of recalls we have seen the past few weeks, as Kawasaki Motors Corporation is recalling certain 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 and 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS motorcycles manufactured between July 16, 2012 and April 27, 2013.

The recall comes about because the Ninja 300 has an improper setting in the electronic control unit (ECU), which can cause the motorcycle to stall during deceleration. Affecting 11,097 units in total, Kawasaki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ECU free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin in mid-August 2013, and concerned owners may contact Kawasaki at 1-866-802-9381. As always, the NHTSA is also available at 1-888-327-4236 and safercar.gov.
