    Aleix murdered everybody. Pretty funny.

  • Frank

It was a pretty funny situation. Everyone lined up to get out ahead of the rain and then they all sat and waited for someone to take off and make a move. No one did. Aleix gambled and stayed back so he was able to actually run a lap without traffic until the final sector. Marc even decided at one point to just push through and was passing people like it was Saturday afternoon.

These times were Moto2 qualifying times. It’s a bit too bad that with the 15 minute format, there is chance that something like this happens with weather. If it rains 10 out of the 15 minutes in the session then the times won’t at all reflect the reality of the grid pace. Rossi and Lorenzo lost out the most, getting stuck in the middle of the mob. It will make for an interesting start to the race that’s for sure.

Bradley Smith said “It was like a night at the nightclub- 11 guys standing around staring at one girl.” Pretty light-hearted take on a sad situation. He also said that MotoGP riders (critical of the whole field to be fair) shouldn’t have let that happen.
