Mission Motors is Out for TT Zero

After already confirming that they wouldn’t be in attendance at Infineon this weekend for the TTXGP season opener, Mission Motors has reaffirmed in a company blog post that they will not be racing in Sonoma this weekend, and have also announced that they will not be competing at the Isle of Man’s TT Zero event later this summer. The news is a bit of a disappointment for the electric motorcycling world, as the hopes of having an event where all the major brandscould be on the same track at the same time seems to be slipping from our grasp.

Mission Motors’ focus is again told to be on getting the Mission One Premier Limited Edition into customer hands, and readying the bike for production. Mission hopes to have the bike out by mid-2011. As we reported earlier, Mission Motor’s new race bike is set to be unveiled later this season, which may or may not be based off a new model from Mission Motors.

OK, well hope to see them next year. Would be nice to see them at Infineon. Maybe show up with the 2009 TTXGP bike to display? Would love to see it.

  • John, you should give them a buzz. I bet they’d let you drop in and see the bike.

  • Disappointing, but it’s easy to understand that Mission needs to focus on producing something they can sell. Hopefully we’ll see a serious race effort next year to promote the new machine.
