BMW Satellite Team Doing a Runner?

Satellite BMW World Superbike team, Reitwagen Motosport BMW, is a no-show this weekend at Monza, the second race in a row the team has failed to show up for. According to rider Andrew Pitt, the team is experiencing financial difficulties, and has been unable to contact the team, who have “gone into hiding” according to the Australian rider.

Left with no ride on Sunday, and a dwindling WSBK season, Pitt has begun entertaining other offers, and is reportedly in contact with BMW about the issues with Reitwagen.

“The team has decided to withdraw from this weekend due to ongoing financial problems,” says Pitt. “This comes as no surprise to me and I feel that the team had no intention of competing here this weekend. There is a complete lack of communication at this stage and nobody can be contacted.
