Roid Rage? Paul Sr. Named in Illegal Steroid Case

In a case being prosecuted in Florida, a former dentist has plead guilty to supplying a number for high-profile athletes and celebrities with various steroid and performance-enhancing drugs. Among the names being pulled out of his business records is Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers and the popular television show American Chopper.

According to the seized documents, Paul Sr. received dozens of prescriptions for steroids and HGH (human growth hormone). The scripts for these drugs were written by the plaintiff in the case, Dr. James M. D’Amico, along with three other Florida physicians, culminating in over a four years of use.

This news of course comes as virtually no surprise to anyone who has ever watched the show American Chopper.

The specifics of the case show the dirty underbelly of professional medicine gone wrong, and how pharmacies looking for healthy revenue boosts are not only brokering patients to unscrupulous physicians, but also taking a blind-eye towards checking the credentials and legitimacy of suspicious prescriptions.

According to the case records, Paul Sr. received 73 prescriptions between the dates of August 2, 2002 and October 3, 2006. Costing $51,784.78, the senior Teutul reportedly received HGH along with the steroids testosterone, nandrolone, and stanozolol. On the orders were Paul Sr.’s date of birth, Social Security number, telephone numbers, and three addresses (one of which was at 10 Factory Rd. Montgomery, New York in Orange County).

Other names being mentioned in the D’Amico’s business records are former Major League Baseball players Paul Byrd, Jose Guillen, and former five-time All Star Matt Williams. All of these players were previously busted for receiving performance-enhancing drugs from D’Amico from the San Francisco Chronicle’s investigation into steroid use in MLB.

,,did it make the bikes go faster?,,, no?,,, then who cares

  • 76

stop writing about this dude, this has sh!t to do with bikes and neither does he at this point

  • Other Sean

Dang, it makes so much sense now, why didn’t I realize it sooner. No wonder he was always so hacked off.

  • BeckyH

What other secrets will be revealed in the personal Hell of this man and the impact of his behavior upon his family, employees and business contacts?

  • Mike L.

Look, champions will do whatever it takes to win, and if you don’t cheat to win, your competitors will beat you while cheating. However you get it, a championship is forever. So I respect Paul for doing what was necessary to became a Champion Jerk Off.

American Choppers is a joke of a show. Glad to see their addled brains are aren’t just the cause of too much Jack and meth.

  • N2bateU

Mike L. How the hell can u call Paul Sr a champion?
He’s suing his own son, tried to buy him out saying his company is worth zero, is about to lose his company because he doesn’t want to pay his bills and always b+tching and yelling. He’s a failure as a father, not a champion. If anything his kids are the champions by dealing with his BS

  • Wow, I would have never guessed he’s taking HUMAN growth hormone . . . .

  • MotoRandom

Well that just explains a lot now, doesn’t it? Truly the saddest part about the whole Teutul fiasco is the damge done to a reviving chopper industry. I think a lot of hard working and inovative fabricators have been hurt by the industry wide implosion brought on by the oversaturation and then self distruction of OCC. Yeah, they should stop getting all of this attention, but like a bad car accident, it’s hard to look away. Discovery never should have let this train wreck continue. They would have been way better off to let Thom Beers find some unknown talents that weren’t blind with greed and had some actual skills at designing and building bikes.

(Katt Williams) “……I was not using any steriods, I just got bigger and stronger, the older I got!” Is steriod use illegal in the Junior vs. Senior? They may take his gold medal!

  • aptimus prime

    Dear American people,

In order to maintain ideological purity and politicize American sports, we have banned steroids and HGH at the Federal level. We hope the last 25 years of your lives are as miserable as possible. Anyone caught trying to improve their physical circumstances during old age will be jailed. Exceptions will be made for Congressional representatives.

Who cares. Paul senior can take all of the drugs he wants. His body still looks like garbage cause he doesn’t eat the proper food. He is no Sly Stallone!!

  • Ducracerx

    @aptimus…it’s OPTIMUS you moron

It’s funny to see all the other bike builders write in under comments. You need to face it and give credit where it is deserved. Those guys are talented! Just look and the bikes on their web sites. Pretty good stuff. And to be able to not burn out with ideas for the next bikes. Jr has four bikes on his web site and all were very well done. That’s the point Sr is missing. For every idea Sr has Jr will have 10. The juice only builds muscle not brains. Sr also forgot one thing with training, you got to work the lower body too! The guy has tooth picks for legs.
