Episode 237 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is our Moto2 and Moto3 follow-up to Episode 236, which focused on the MotoGP action from the Aragon GP at Motorland Aragon.
On the mics, we have David Emmett, Neil Morrison, and Adam Wheeler, as they walk us through the on-track action in the intermediate classes.
The show starts off with the moments that really stood out for all three hosts – Pedro Acosta’s reaction to Sergio Garcia’s crash, Raul Fernandez in Parc Ferme, and Deniz Öncü’s words in the Moto3 Parc Ferme.
The guys then take a look at the Moto3 race, and what it all meant: where Dennis Foggia found his extra speed from; Deniz Öncü getting another second place; and the championship ramifications of crashes by Pedro Acosta and Sergio Garcia.
From there, they talk about the implosion of the Petronas team in Moto3, what happens to the team in MotoGP, and the inter-team ructions in the Aspar squad where Izan Guevara and Sergio Garcia came together. And the show discusses how the championship might play out.
Moving into Moto2, the guys discuss Augusto Fernandez’ move to the Ajo Moto2 team, and Sam Lowes extending with the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team. There is talk about the old surface at Aragon, and whether it is to blame for the crashes in Moto2.
Next, the show talks about Raul Fernandez’ win, and whether the guys think Raul Fernandez or Remy Gardner will come out on top next year, when the pair move up into the Tech3 KTM MotoGP squad.
