SEMA: Toyota Tundra Ducati Concept

There must be something about November and transportation tradeshows. Behold the Toyota Tundra/Ducati Transporter. Now, I own a Toyota, and it hauls my bike to the track just fine. But this concept would make me look WAY cooler, not to mention it would be a far more effective setup. With a motorized loading ramp, integrated tool system, storage space spares, and solar panels mounted on the bed rails to provide auxiliary power (goodbye super loud generators). More after the jump.

A 5.7-liter supercharged V8 sends power to the 22″ custom aluminum Alcoa wheels, which are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires. In addition to a handful of suspension and body mods, the Transporter gets a custom interior with captain chairs with built-in massager.

Nice! I see an opportunity for a 3-way partnership with Snap-On here too:)

it’s like Voltron. The more you hook-up, the better it gets.

  • Now that’s cool. I wish the big three, Ford especially, would be more innovative like this. When I purchased my truck in 1987, they would not sell a crew cab 4×4 in the XLT Lariat trim. It was available in 4×2, but not 4×4. I thought it was incredibly stupid to deny a customer something that is obviously something simple and available. As much as I loath considering a Toyota or a Nissan, with their innovations, I may do so next time around.
