The long wait for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is nearly over, it would seem. This news comes to us as Kawasaki Indonesia has announced an online unveiling of the four-cylinder quarter-liter, set for July 10th.
Originally expected in April of this year, the coronavirus outbreak shifted things in the schedule, much to our 17,000 prm loving hearts.
Despite the fact that Kawasaki has been promoting a carbon-clad version of the ZX-25R, as a way to promote a spec-series in Japan, little is actually known about the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R.
We know that the bike will have traction control and a quickshifter, as well as riding modes (which means a ride-by-wire throttle also).
Also, from leaked dyno numbers from Akrapovic, we know that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R make a little over 40hp at the rear wheel.
Official power and weight figures have been mum, as has been pricing (for the most part, as pricing in New Zealand has also been revealed).
With Kawasaki not saying much of anything about this hotly anticipated new motorcycle, our eyes and ears will be eager to see what gets shown and told on July 10th.
Of course, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R won’t be coming to North America or Europe, as the model is destined for the Asian markets, where insurance costs make the mighty Kawasaki Ninja 400 out of reach for riders.
With its smaller displacement, the Ninja ZX-25R should be a more affordable option from Kawasaki, and we expect it to offer similar specs to its 400c sibling.
