Oh Yes, Honda’s ADV Scooter is Coming

Remember how Honda teased with a 21-part video series for the Africa Twin adventure-tourer? Get ready for the same treatment again, this time for Big Red’s ADV Scooter, which so far we only know as the “Honda City Adventure” concept.

This off-roading feet-forward scooter is coming to Europe, and likely North America as well, which should be an interesting test for this crossover model.

The latest teaser video gives us a pretty good glimpse of the machine, which doesn’t stray too far from its trade show concept, complete with wire wheels and dual-sport tires.

Honda hopes that the City Adventure will work in places where gravel and dirt roads are part of the local commute (think rural areas with country roads), with the scooter being just at home on a fire road as it is in mid-city traffic.

With the 750cc parallel-twin Integra engine likely at its core, the Honda City Adventure should get excellent mileage, and have plenty of power with its roughly 55hp on tap.

Pricing will be curious, of course, and then there is always the question: who is actually going to buy this thing? That’s something we are keen to see for ourselves. This scooter sounds like something we’d like to have in our garage, but we’re not sure why.
