It looks like our Bothan spies were right once again, as Ducati has unveiled its latest model for the 2019 model year, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro.
As the name implies, the big feature with the new Enduro is the Testastretta DVT 1262 that makes its way from the XDiavel into the Multistrada lineup.
This means a power bump to 156hp and 94 lbs•ft of torque from the v-twin engine with variable valve timing. Like its counterpart in Multistrada 1260, the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro makes 85% of its torque below 3,500 rpm.
The technical package is robust, with cornering ABS, IMU-assisted traction control, wheelie control, hill-start assist, an up/down quickshifter, and semi-active Sachs suspension all coming as standard on the Enduro. The layout on the TFT dash has also been reworked, and follows the layout found on the Ducati Panigale V4 superbike.
Like on the previous model, the Enduro comes with a 19″ front wheel and 17″ rear wheel combo, though now they tip the scales 2kg (4.4 lbs) lighter than before, and are now shod in Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires.
The ergonomics on the Multistrada 1260 Enduro have been also revised, and the bike now has a lower center of gravity and seat height. The curb weight is 560 lbs with the ~50 lbs of fuel onboard.
For those that like to go far, fast – the 2019 Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro has scheduled oil changes every 9,000 miles, and valve checks at every 18,000 miles. You can get it in any color want, so long as it’s Sand or Ducati Red.
