They'll look similar, they'll sound similar and lap times will be similar. MotoGP needs to be unique, and be the big show, and 990cc will at least provide a reasonable spread. I think moto2 should have been limited to 750cc twin cylinder machines. They would sound completely different, be entertaining in their own way and wouldn't compete with the main show, just like the current 250s.
