By far the prettiest 250 on the market, but 16hp? It’s not gonna last long on the U.S. market. What I wanna see is an inline 3 0r 4 250! :D

A single-cylinder sportbike is controversial just in the name. Even though the 9.5:1 compression screams gas mileage and reliability, experienced riders would miss that 6th gear. It’s main competition, the Ninja 250R, revs over 7k rpm at highway speeds, hitting its max just over 100mph. This Megelli 250R would likely struggle on the highway, and I’d be impressed if it could hit 80mph. With the same displacement, a Ninja 250R makes more than twice the power… and is right around the same price range. A cheaper competitor would be the Hyosung 250R, with performance specs similar to those of the Ninja. How can Megelli expect to compete in such a market?
