The following is the result of what happens when you put two World Champions in a room full of 500GP / MotoGP World Championship winning machines, and film the interaction.

Having both Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa on-hand to kick the tires on bike’s like Mick Doohan’s NSR500, Rossi’s RC211V, and Stoner’s RC212V, the two Repsol Honda riders compare and contrast the differences that generations and prodigies create.

It’s a pretty candid perspective on some of the most dominant machinery from perhaps the two most qualified critics. Enjoy it after the jump, you might be surprised by what they have to say.

    That was really interesting, thanks.

  2. L2C says:

Saw that earlier today. It was cool. And the ending was pretty funny.

  3. Starmag says:

Country music for a video about high tech Japanese racebikes sponsored by a Spanish petrol company being discussed by Spanish riders? Weird, and not in a good way.

  4. meatspin says:

i laughed when they got on the 500 and were talking about how big the fuel tank was.

  5. n/a says:

These show bikes are a f***ing joke, Pedrosa’s seat on what is supposed to be Hayden’s bike!?

I’ve also noticed many differences on a factory Yamaha R1 which was displayed at the Suzuka 8hour compared to the one they were racing.

  6. AHA says:

Good vid though. So fun & refreshing to hear the riders’ spontaneous & candid comments, not too filtered by corporate PR airbrushing for a change. More of this please Honorable Factory-Sans!

  7. smiler says:

PR yawnathon. Atl east Pedro remembers what those bikes were like to ride without TC, LC, anti everything on them. So much Marquez just did not understand.

  8. pooch says:

God, a decent glimpse of a bit of genuine bike banter between two of the fastest men of this generation, some charm, wit, and still some of you still complain. Are you sure A+R doesn’t have english fans as a majority instead of U.S. ? As a few of you moan like englishmen.

    Insert smiley —> :)

  9. Kaw4Life says:

I loved it, would love more of this type of video!

  10. MM says:

    @ n/a,

Using one of Pedrosa’s bikes as Nicky’s will be because Nicky got to keep his championship winning bike. He got it stipulated in his contract that if he won the championship he would get to keep it (which is what I’d definitely do in the fantasy where I’m a MotoGP rider).
