We already knew well ahead of the INTERMOT show that Team Green would debut the Kawasaki Ninja Z800, a bike that replaces the best-selling sport-naked in the Europe: the Kawasaki Ninja Z750. Featuring an 806cc inline-four motor, the new Z800 comes in two flavors: the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja Z800 & the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja Z800e. The Kawasaki Ninja Z800 makes 111hp and 61 lbs•ft of torque, while the Kawasaki Ninja Z800e gets a bit more watered down with 94hp and 56 lbs•ft of torque, though it saves 6 lbs over its more burly counterpart.

The two-pronged model approach by Kawasaki is surely being done to better capture a wider audience with the Ninja Z800 line, which also explains why the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja Z800e comes with a 47hp A2 license compliant option as well. Designed to be at home on the set of the next Transformers movie, you will either love or hate the lines of the Kawasaki Ninja Z800 — we happen to think it looks rather edgy and mean, which is how we like our street-nakeds to carry themselves.

For its added price and power, the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja Z800 comes 41mm KYB forks that feature preload and rebound damping only — the same goes for the Z800′s rear shock. The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja Z800e, however comes with forks and a rear shock that have only preload adjustment capability, and no damping controls. Both models come with an optional ABS package. We do not expect the Kawasaki Ninja Z800 to come to North America at this point in time. Waiting for you after the jump are 53 photos of the new Kawasaki Ninja Z800.

To me it honestly looks like a modified inline-4 version of a superduke.

  2. Paul McM says:

I will personally be delighted when this whole transformer/insectizoid styling trend is abandoned forever. This bike goes way beyond ugly, way beyond “what we’re they thinking of?” Sorry, Kawasaki… the machine is hideous. Last time I checked 7-year-old boys were not purchasing new motorcycles. Time for Kawasaki to ask its stylists to do the honorable thing… find another profession.

Nice looking bike, very modern styling !

  5. JoeD says:

This one needs help. The front end and muffler are fugly. Looks as though they are trying to copy the Benelli Look.

  6. PJD says:

Sorry, but why is there this craze of making most of the modern motorcycles look like they are an abortion from a Transformer movie. I understand the Ducati monster was very popular but its lines look downright classic compared the recent lot.

Suzuki should do a modern version of their 82-83 Katanas – and not mess up the lines too much.

  7. Rider says:

Looks are sub par. Also that ABS decal on the fender is just lame.

  8. Texas2Real says:

I am not sure what you all are talking about, I guess I am the only one that thinks this bike looks amazing! I guess you cannot please all of the people all of the time but there are not many bikes out there that look better than this; especially from the Inline-4 lineup.. I will concede to the Italian’s but that is about it! You let this bike come to the states and I will grab one up and be done with it! The only reason that I do not have it’s older brother the Z1000 is due mainly in part of finding one in my area.. IJS; I honestly feel that people just hate everything now-a-days!

  9. Gritboy says:

The orange & black is just too Dukey for me… I’d rather a Super Duke for that. Still, it’s a rather nice looking naked and the plethora of accessories promises to make it fun to modify without “drilling” required. ;)

  10. Gutterslob says:

Why do all standards/streetfighters look like bugs these days?
Someone bring back the classic round headlight, please.

  11. nazrijeff says:

    I like it…

  12. mahiar says:
