This seems to be the year for small-displacement motorcycles, as Big Red has teased its lineup for next season, and announced the 2013 Honda CBR250R Repsol edition. The same fuel-injected single-cylindered bike as before, Honda hopes that its MotoGP racing livery will help dissuade 250cc buyers from thinking green in 2013.

Just like the Honda RC213V, the Repsol Honda CBR250R will come without an option for ABS. No word on pricing yet. The Dani Pedrosa jokes start in 3…2…1…

  2. Damo says:

    Of course there is a Repsol edition…..four months after the wife just bought a plain jane red one.

    Too late again! Uggh.

  3. Xlomotion says:

    Looks great!
    I’m hoping to pick one up for the wife as she’s begging for her own ride

  4. noch says:

    I love the look of the respsol GP bikes but this cbr250 has such a non-aggressive upright profile, the look of that fairing looks totally ridiculous.

  5. paulus says:

    Factory quality race rep… NICE.
    This would look even better with suitable Exhausts and other performance parts

    The brand TYGA PERFORMANCE makes a whole bunch of high quality, race styled parts for the CBR250 already…. this would really finish this bike properly.

    @Xlomotion

    It is a great little bike. I steal from my wife to commute alot when I don’t feel like taking the RC51 to work. Her and I ride two up on it quite a bit too. It chugs right along and I am 6’2″ 200lbs and she is 5’11”, it is by no means fast with two people on it, but hit 75mph on the highway without issue.

    I love the stupid little thing.

  7. Roger says:

    Wow, i have to buy one so that my 2011 cbr1000rr repsol can have a mini me lol!!!

  8. Joey Wilson says:

    Well, I bet Dani Pedrosa can put BOTH feet down when he’s on this one ! Finally !

    As if they weren’t already, these will sell like hotcakes. Now, please make a vertical twin version of this motor and put it in a CB400R !

  9. Polymhxanos says:

    A young rider in the 90s could buy a CBR250RR, with hi performance – hitech 4 cylinder cam gear train engine, hi tech aluminum frame, supersport class.

    A young rider in the 10s, can buy a CBR250R, with low performance single cylinder engine, old fashioned 70s-80s lowtech iron frame, commuter class.

    PROGRESS! Well done Honda…. :P

  10. Damo says:

    @Polymhxanos

    Yeah and if they made a super high tech I4 250cc these days it would cost over $7k most likely, putting it dangerously close to middle weight territory. A young learner could just buy a like new SV650 at that point if they wanted a nimble and quick learner’s bike.

    I am also going to go out on a limb and say you haven’t rode the new CBR250 and you are just spreadsheet surfing.

  11. MikeD says:

    It looks good…but…the Ninja 300 will get my Dinero before this does.

  12. Eric says:

    How much will it be approximately and by when should it be in stores?
